Thug play. Needs to be suspended. If I were Delany, it would be for the rest of the season. Injuries are prevalent enough without that crap.
What's the question I suppose to be answering?
I'm serious. There are a lot of things that I'm willing to over look but messing with someone's vision could have life long consequences. I wasn't as hard on McCabe's hip toss.See, considering your post history, it's hard to take your opinion with anything other than a huge grain of salt.

That's not true. I think you have me confused with someone else. I have gone on record as wanting Gabe to start and play more minutes but I have always understood that Woodbury brings stuff to the court. He's physical in the post. He battles inside and plays defense. He's also shown a nice mid range shot this year. There are many positives to his game as there are negatives.I'm well aware that you're serious. But you've got a long history of bashing Woodbury and I think that's clouding your judgement here. The first one, which was the only one that could have caused an injury, was accidental. The second one, while stupid, he barely even touched Kaminsky's eye. Kaminsky was practically laughing about it both on the floor and in the postgame. Bush league, yes. "Gutless" or "cowardly", as Dakich said? No.
Agree 100%. I never even gave the Hayes eye poke a second thought because it can happen, especially when a player leans forward to put the ball on the deck. The second one with FK made me view the Hayes incident in a different light. The Hayes one, taken on its own, I might have *possibly* considered excusing as Hayes does seem to make a bit of a head move at roughly the same time Woody reaches his arm out...but with the added context of how comically blatant the one against Kaminsky is (he missed on the first one and tried again!), I start to see intent in the Hayes one, too. I don't think it was coincidence Woody has his fingers pointing at the guy at eye level. When you are defending the ball in basketball, with your hands you are either trying to block his line of sight (in which case you would want to go palm out to make your hand as much as a visual nuisance as possible) or cutting off passing options (which, again, encourages keeping your hands palm out relative to the defender so as to make them as big as possible).
Really, in a defensive situation like that, the only time I would be stabbing forward with my hands fingers first is if I was going for a steal (which Woody is clearly not doing in either video). I say guilty. At the bare minimum, KNOCK IT OFF and accept any punishment coming your way.

After re-watching I have changed my position. The first was likely accidental, the second was a fit a frustration/lack of discipline on the second. Problem is the two together appear to provide evidence for the "thug" case, which I don't believe to be accurate.Thug play. Needs to be suspended. I dont think the Hayes one was intentional. He is sticking his hand up as Hayes is making a basketball move.
I just laugh at the 2nd one. Why was he petting him on top of the head? I dont get that move at all. He hit him in the eye with his ring finger. who pokes someone else with a ring finger?
