How bout the big man! With the rim-buster! Throw it down big fella! I'm counting it as a dunk because technically he touched the rim.

Seriously, great game though. Two years left and you can see the improvement and the potential. He's going to win some games for us as a hawk and he contributed as much as anyone last night.

Agreed, I thought he played the game of his life last night. Gives him a summer to focus on that last game and bust his *** all summer to put up that performance on a nightly basis.

That wide open dunk attempt was something else though. Whereas everyone gives him so much grief for not dunking it, I don't really have that much concern about it, but that wide open chance to throw down a monster dunk was pretty bad. Wide open lane, 7 footer....wow! Still like him though

Anyone that thinks gabe is better than woody just needs to look at the consistency...woody doesn't have the athleticism of gabe but he is a better basketball player and he put on a clinic yesterday. I think he will really blossom next yr. gabe is a great back up with some upside but he has his deficiencies because he is so young in bball age.

Woodbury was the best player on the floor for a good majority of minutes he was in last night. Fran needs to go to him more during scoring droughts imo. Give him space to work and he can make good things happen. I'm really looking forward to seeing how much he improves by the start of next season.

Its amazing what a big man can do when you actually pass him the ball in position.
**Like**

Woody has the height and enough weight that Vol's beefers couldn't push him around like they did Iowa's other length guys.

Woody seems to play at a different level in tournaments.. He did the same kind of thing in the NIT last year too. Hopefully we see this type of play consistently out of him next year.

I thought our sophomore center and freshmen shooting guard both looked very good last night. There's a lot of reasons to be optimistic moving forward.

I enjoyed the positive vibes from this thread. maybe Woodbury will be that go to guy we have so desperately needed this past year. I made a post about Woody a few days before the game and how nice it will be for him to finally become the Center next season that we all hoped he would be. Then as an after that I said it would be great for it to start against Tennessee. I was sad to see us lose but Woodbury and Jok showed why there may be a bright future a head for this team. Although this season didn't go quite the way I would have liked I do want to say thank you to our parting Seniors for all the great times they did give to all of the fans. Best wishes to all of you. Go Hawks!!!!!!!!!!!!

It amazes me that it takes a game like this for people to realize this is what he is capable of every game. If we would feature him more in the offense he would be more of a factor, he has always had the skills, but truly lacked the opportunity. The same could be said for Peter Jok.
