Woodbury with 17---

This was an amazing aspect of the game to me. Woodbury goes to the bench with 4 fouls and Ankeny stalls 1 minute 30 seconds on the 1st possession while up 2 (and misses) and then stalls 2 minutes the next possession while tied (and missed again). With the 7 footer on the bench, they should have tried to increase their lead.

Woody had a good game. I wished he finished stronger at this level, but he does endure punishment that other players do not. There were a couple of times during the game that he was hit in obviously and did not get the call. He doesn't block shots because he basically just stands straight up and doesn't jump to block shots and/or get fouls. 2 of his fouls in this game were offensive while establishing position and the 5th foul was a cheap one. I also thought Woody's hands were pretty good and he made some nice passes for a big man.

SC East played well at the end after Woody fouled out and Ankeny played not to lose.

That's exactly why he doesn't block a lot of shots, because he doesn't try to. And I'm sure the reason is his coaches instructing him not to so he can try and stay out of foul trouble(which he is usually in anyway). Like you say a lot of his fouls he is just trying to establish position. They also put him way in the backcourt when his team is shooting free throws to avoid him picking up a cheap foul.

Having not seen him play, but reading everything I can on Woodbury, it seems he is foul prone. That said, it also seems he can get the heck beat out of him, but when he does anything he gets called...hence, not blocking a lot of shots.
If he likes to be physical, he will fit in at the BIG level and contest many more shots and get more blocks, not saying he is going to be a dominating shot blocker, but be able to show more of that ability at the College level.
