He just needs to get comfortable with the game speed and level of defense played in the B1G. He is rushing his shots around the basket because he is not used to them being contested.

It will come with time and experience.
 
Yes, he rushes shots at times, but he also needs to go up with more authority at times. Although that will come with an off-season of strength training.
 
A lot of his shots fall short, perhaps he should use the backboard......

His rebounding and D are very good, and the offensive will fall into place in time......

Yep. Hopefully this year, but definitely next year he will be dunking those baskets instead of trying to finesse them in. It took Jared Berggren at Wisconsin until his senior year to start going up strong.
