Net Rankings as of 3-1-2025
I've been following the Net Rankings and before today's game with Wisconsin Iowa is at 27. What I have a problem with is UConn being ranked #1. UConn has an 11 - 3 record against Q1 and Q2 teams. It is 5 and 3 against Q1 teams. It has only played 14 games against Q1 and Q2 teams. The only team from the Big East conference in the top 31 is Creighton at 31. You then have to drop to 58 to find Marquette. For comparison Iowa has played 17 Q1 and Q2 teams, SoCal has played 18 and SoCar has played 19. I just don't believe UConn should get a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. They have a cake walk to the B.E. Conference tournament championship, where as winning the Big Ten or SEC will be infinitely more difficult.
