Against the dread goofers...and these two programs don't like each other...it is a great rivalry. I love watching these hawks play ball...talk about passion and effort. They are on a 3 game win streak too.
 
And since it IS "Minnesota Night" all paying fans will be allowed to engage in sexual activity in the restrooms...all restroom signs have been replaced with replica signs from the Metro-Dome's restrooms for the special event.

This is my biggest beef with the U of I. Their marketing department sucks. Had I known about this earlier, I would have arrived early, with cologne and pomade applied amply.

Now I have to hurry around and show up smelling of stale Bud Lite and mentos and hope at best I arrive in time for Cougar appreciation hour.
 
Man they're fun to watch. I wish BTN would show them more often (especially with the state of the men's team). Alexander has a double double at half (chance of triple double?) and the team is up 50-28. The men scored ten points less than that in the entire Purdue game.
 
Iowa up big at the half, 50-28.

Alexander has 11 pts, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists at the HALF. Hawks have nailed 8 threes and are shooting 44% from the floor.

This team is simply on fire and a heck of a lot of fun to watch!

That's when this team shows their youth...weren't they up by like 30 last game and let the lead get down to 6 before winning by 10 or so?

They did really well containing the big center from OSU, if I remember correctly. The collapses are worrying though----perhaps it's a short-term sign of youth a la the 2002 football team.

To an extent yes, but this team has closed out every game over the last 10, except the OSU loss.

Pretty amazing considering no seniors are essentially playing now (Hamlin out). Alexander is the only JR seeing significant playing time. This team is stacked for next season!

I think this team is going to be something special, starting next season...and barring the injuries that seem to strike them every season.
