Woke up still PO'd

I'm still PO'd after a not so good night's sleep. I was so looking forward to this football season and now have to put up with this crap. Oh, wait, no I don't. Just deleted Iowa games from my DVR and any future games. Iowa football just lost a fan until we have a new coaching staff. That might be a while, since Iowa can probably win 5 more games against a weak BIG10 schedule. Barta needs to go too.

KFs signed thru 2020....not sure that's happening any time soon...

So, you didn't sleep in a Holiday Inn Express is what you're saying.....All jokes aside '82, I hear what you're sayin'.....it's beyond mind boggling what we witnessed yesterday....hopefully the ship can be righted (but, I'm not holding my breath)

Would agree just woke up, and getting ready to drive home, and still PO'D, are coaching staff is under performing, and has been for sometime, and I have been a big supporter of KF, but it is time for some change.

If we end up going 5-7, and Kirk leaves on his own, without requesting a buy-out, he would go away to applause and grow his legacy.

Every time Iowa had a good season, Kirk and his agent, were always negotiating for more money or saying that NFL was interested.
It felt very artificial after the 2009 season, but Barta panicked, and locked him through 2020.

Whenever, Hayden wanted more, it wasn't for his pocketbook, it was for the bubble, the facilities, etc., which is one of the many reasons why Hayden will always be beloved more than Kirk.

The ship absolutely can be righted. But KF either needs to change his offensive strategy to get into 21st century college football, starting with PIT, or he won't be the guy to fix this.

Very well put. Iowa football under Kurt had its day and we appreciate it. Hayden stayed too long and you saw what happened. Hopefully Kurt sees that too and retires a legend at the end of the season.

The only reason I am PO'd today is because of 2 thing.:

1. This team is not good. Love the players on the team but they aren't being put in a position to be successful and this is Kirk's fault.
2. I am going have to listen to stupid cyclone fans all week long, half barely follow their team enough to even anyone's name besides the two QBs and Lazard and maybe Jarvis West solely on last week's performance only. I know more about their team than they do. Worst part, most of them are women who just reiterate what they hear their husbands say.

I will not be watching any more games this year. I wish the players luck and hopefully they can overcome all of the poor coaching decisions that lie ahead.

Great post! I think many people are forgetting the players in all this. They practice and play hard. I don't doubt them, just the coaches.

Man, this is getting old. Iowa makes being a fan so difficult. The first three games this year have not been entertaining. Last week I had ISU vs. KSU on TV and my wife asked me what was wrong with me - that's ISU, on our TV. I said I guess I'm a football fan and this game is fun to watch, and then came Ball State- yuck, even when we win- its painful

Truth, this has been my feeling for years and the majority of people on this site and others ridiculed those who didn't kneel at the alter of Kirk

A guy who called into Sound Off last night said that he drives 10 hours each way to the games each week. Spends thousands of dollars on tickets and parking passes and also has travel expenses.

He said that this brand of football makes it hard to justify the expense, and the athletic department will probably find it difficult to convince people to invest in such poor football in the future unless something changes. He sounded like a big donor. I hope he is.

It's hard to justify spending $10 on this product.
