I was thinking the same thing. Its not a good time to be looking for a coach. If Ferentz is going to put it together there's no better chance than next yr with all the coaching changes.

He doesn't care about putting it together. They can lose every game and he'll still get his.

I'm hoping Iowa benefits from this. Here's my prediction for the run-up to signing day.

I think Iowa wins its bowl game for 2 reasons. First, it's a 6 win opponent. Second, Kirk almost always wins when everyone is certain a loss is imminent. The win will feel good because of Kirk's record against the SEC. And it will be nice to end on a high note.

The most important thing the win should accomplish is Iowa holding on to its verbals. Maybe gain 1 or 2. This class has some talent. Next season, Iowa should be able to punk some new coaches.

No signatures wins this season (even with a bowl win). But next season Iowa should get at least one, and really more than that.

Wisconsin will once again contend with Minnie for the WEST. Paul C will take right over where Anderson left off. I have no faith that KF can do any better than 8 wins next year. We play Wiscy and Nebby on the road next year..Certain losses. NW on the road,chalk that up..ISU there=loss.. LOse at home to MINNIE. They should have one of their best teams in years. WE lose a game that we shouldn't as always to possibly Illinois ST. Thats the ebb and flow of Iowa football.
