Their jet sweep to Peavy gets us a couple times, but we bottle up Clement, and the amped Kinnick crowd seems to rattle their young QB. Like OSU game, we allow Wisky 2 short field goals instead of TDs. Des gives us a huge encore pick 6. We take the lead on a sustained drive midway through the 4th and eke out a gritty 21-20 win. Go Hawks!

It won't be that Wisconsin has a high-power offense. Iowa won't have the horses to stop Cichy and Watt on defense and keeps Iowa to fewer points than Wisky will make. Iowa defense steps up to keep Wisky under 30 points.

I think its going to be a one score game that could swing either way. I'll go out on a limb, albeit an optimistic one, that says Iowa gets the win at home 24-17.

I think Wiscy passes the eye test, however they have 1 impressive win vs. an LSU team that may not see a bowl game and have lost the only other 2 games on their schedule to good teams. So despite them passing the eye test, I'm honestly not convinced they're that much better than we are.

Kittle toughs is out and we play 2 TE sets. CJ hits Noah Fant all day long on deep slants. We need our safeties to NOT get beat deep. This is key because we do need to load the box. King needs to follow their #1 guy (can't recall his name, I believe he's #11) all over the field. If we can get 125 yards rushing, we'll be in the game. We need to build a 3 score first half lead.

WUs has a slow first half then catches up.

I hope you're right. But, Saturday was only the 2nd time since ISU the Hawks scored more than 14 first-half points, so it seems unlikely against that defense.

Hawks will need to either score a defensive/special teams TD or break a 50+ run for a TD to win a game that is higher scoring than it was last year up in Madison.

The X factor on D will be slowing/shutting down Jazz. Sacking the QB will be less important than being physical with him (both obviously preferable).

Interesting, I'll use that game to point out another in a long line of coaching flaws... Duzey, a TE, outran the Buckeyes secondary, yet we couldn't ever utilize his speed again.

A perfect example of KFz's main shortcoming. Every game is the same, he doesn't exploit matchups, attack weaknesses, he just "does what he does". It's as if the opponent doesn't exist.

He's a fine man, but I'd love to get across the poker table from him...just once. And have Barta sitting a couple chairs over as well.

Either Wisc has some trouble getting their running game going and Iowa keeps it close, losing something like 10-3.

or...

Wisc gets their running game going early and beats us like red-headed step children, running up nearly 400 yards rushing and winning 45-0.

I really hope that I am wrong, but I just don't see our offense doing much of anything.

This is very possible. We have a shot at both Penn St and Nebraska, but we are going to have to see a better Iowa team than we have seen so far.

So what your saying is If we can get a couple extra big plays and maybe a favorable bounce here and there, we could upset Penn State and nebby and go 8-4. At this point I think I'd take that, even though 8 wins was my floor prediction for the season any anything less than 9 dissappointing.

6 wins is a travesty, no way around it.

The NW loss still bothers me. Oddly, much more than the NDSU game.
