Gentlemen, you're losing focus. The topic is not me, it is the fact we are angry that Bielema played Russel Wilson into the 4th quarter of a blowout win, but not angry that Ferentz played Vandenberg into the 4th quarter of a blowout win.

I am a hawkeye fan, NOT a Big 10 fan. I will not be one of those SEC idiots who root for a conference.

I just hope somebody has the balls to run it up on Wisky when they get the chance. I predict those chances will come next year when they don't get bailed out by a miracle transfer.
 
Wisconsin hasn't played anyone. They should be absolutely embarrassed with that schedule. Yesterday's game not with standing, they beat the likes of a UNLV team that got rolled by UTAH ST. yesterday and also beat a Oregon St team that lost to SACRAMENTO ST at home! They have played terrible teams and will be exposed in league play.

I could be wrong, but I thought it was a 2-pt conversion that got Punky Brewster's goat not a field goal. (the CARD made me do it)

You have to remember, this is the same BB (albeit a bit older and certainly not more mature) that told then IA ST Coach Criner (Walden?) after another Hawkeye beat down that "I've enjoyed kicking your *** for the last 4-years."
 
I have no problems with Wisky playing Wilson into the 4th qtr. That said, some of BB's previous decisions pop up in situations like this and bring out the torches and pitch forks again.

On a side note, I hope the Badgers get rolled next week.

Back on point Ghost.....BB and KF's reasons for playing a QB in the 4th quarter with a sizeable lead are entirely different. End of argument.
 
The reason Vandy was in there was to get McNutt the record. We got inside the 10, took our chance, missed, then Vandy was pulled along with Marvin. I think Kirk would have liked to get it over with and have a bye week to talk about it instead of it being a possible hot topic on game week, which now it will be.
 
after the 1st three games of close wins, i think KFlet Vandy in ther long enough, as for Wisc, who will be the hired gun next season for them, i don't believe Houston from Calif will be the starter because he runs a veer offense
 
Just curious.... I am trying to understand why so much hate towards Wisconsin? I realize it is a foe that we want to beat every year - but what makes so many hate Bucky more so than any other Big Ten opponent?
Since I live in west central Iowa where Nebby is a much larger presence, I was thinking maybe it is an eastern Iowa thing? I for one can't wait for the Bugeaters to get a rude welcome to the conference next week!

I think the reason both coaches played their QB is identical. They wanted to get an inexperienced QB game experience before conference season starts. In fact, JVB has twice the game experience at Iowa as Wilson does at Wisconsin, and JVB has about 1,000 times more experience with his system and team mates as Wilson does.

While I agree partly with what you say, you might feel differently if you lived in the middle of "all those SEC idiots" and had to constantly hear how bad the Big 10 is.

Of course I love it when the Hawkeyes regularly beat the almighty SEC teams, but any Big 10 team that could beat one of them in the Big game is fine by me.
