Wisky at Nebby and one will be 0-2; and Go Michigan

Of course the hawks can take care of their own business and control their own destiny.

But they will definitely get some good help when either Wisky or Nebby will be 0-2 by Saturday. Wasn't it at the beginning of last year or over the summer camp in 2014 that Joel Stave reportedly had the throwing yips. The hawks pressure and toughness seemed to make him come up short on some passes.

If the hawks take care of Illinois they will have a 2 game lead on either Wisky or Nebby and of course the head to head tiebreaker against Wisky.

And come on Mich, Harbaugh, and Jake Rudock. Six or more months ago after Jake enrolled at Michigan we would have never thougth that he could really be helping the hawks if he can lead the offense to points and help beat jNW.

If all this happens the hawks will be leading the West Div by themselves.

Go Hawks.

Well.?. I'm not putting any money on Cornhuskers beating Badgers. NW Wildcats are in for some real football ..tough football when they meet the Wolverines this year. Isn't it fun to watch all these college match ups? Illinois to visit Kinnick! Fun

I've never understood this thinking. I'd rather beat an undefeated NW than a 1-loss team. Iowa will look better being the first team to defeat NW. With our schedule this year, we need all the help we can get. Beating an undefeated NW on the road will be a good win.Go Hawks.

I'd rather meet a Jake Rudock led Michigan team in the B!G title game. Certainly possible now and even more likely with a Michigan win over NW on Saturday. Can you imagine the hype surrounding an Iowa v. Michigan title game? Big picture man, big picture...

well the key is Iowa still needs to beat NW. If Iowa loses to NW, then NW still has the advantage even if they lose to Mich.

That said, all we would need is for Northwestern to lose to someone else if they beat us and lose to Michigan.

Northwestern would still have @Nebraska, @Wisconsin, and @Illinois.

Go Michigan on Saturday. Gives us some margin for error in the West.

^^ I dont care if jNW loses this saturday and we beat them and they have two losses.

All that means is we beat them and they have two losses.

All about the numbers in the loss column because as they say in baseball you can never get back a loss.

I always want Iowa's West Division opponents to lose their crossover games against the East division.

Why would any hawk fan want jNW to win a road game at Michigan???

I hate Michigan. To be the best, you have to beat the best. The Big Ten West is the weaker division this year. The rest of the nation won’t take notice of Iowa unless we are beating up on stronger teams.
Basic Math
NW > Michigan & Iowa beats NW = Iowa > Michigan
I always want the BIG west teams to do good outside of conference and division. Iowa will look stronger when we take the west. Go Hawks.

I just want to win the west. I don't care at all how we look doing it. If we lose to Northwestern and end up with the same record, then them beating Michigan would be the reason we didn't make the Big 10 Championship. Who to root for is an easy decision.

While we are at it, Go Nebraska this Saturday as well. Wisconsin has a very, very, easy schedule the rest of the way.

That would just about be the best "Good Story" I'd ever hear.

Heck no, knock Neb the heck out of the race real early in the season.

Nebraska will likely lose again. They still have to play Northwestern, @Minny, Iowa, and Michigan St. Wisconsin could run the table after Nebraska. Unfortunately, we need to root for the Cornholes in this one.

^^I agree, dont want Wisky getting a road win at one of their only "tough" road games.

But if wisky goes in there and easily handles Nebby then maybe nebby crashes and burns.

Iowa had better concentrate on Illinois, and forget about what everyone else does. I'm thinking second half against both Pitt and Wiscy. They have enough to work on.

I'm also superstitious. I was uncomfortable in 2009 also. And I am this year. I sat in the shade at Camp Randall in 2009. I did this year also. Every game I say King shouldn't be returning kicks. Every game we have won. Every game people give me funny looks after I say this.

I can see this thing going either way for the rest of the season. As a positive, there hasn't been one game where there isn't a ton to work on after reviewing game film, so hopefully this keeps the teams focused on the next game.
