I was very impressed by the defense tonight. They really picked it up at that end of the court.
Wow, this team has really found it's identity. Best ball we've seen under Fran.
At the risk of pizzing some of you off, I'm gonna say this:
It would have happened earlier (as in perhaps last year) had Fran not turned his team into the Dev Marble feature. Basketball is still a team game that requires great chemistry.
These guys are looking like they could be playing on the second weekend of March Madness. Go Hawks!
Tom Crean with his coaching smarts yelling "box out" as Iowa has nobody in the lane during a free throw.
You could say that, but it just as easily could be that the other players didn't step up. I think of some games that White disappeared last year or the games when McCabe would be 0/8 from deep.
yep. Hard to say.
We know one thing -- last year is over.
It's not weighing on this team. The demons appear to have been exorcised.
There's mental toughness. There's leadership. There's chemistry.

Wow what a ******* stupid post. It was definitely the fault of our 1st team All B10 guard who averaged 20.7 ppg/5.7 apg/1.3 tpg down the stretch without him we would have been much better. I mean we had Gesell shooting 21% (not a typo) over his last seven games, Uthoff shooting 22% from 3 in B10 play, and White refusing to take any shot outside of a layup. Yep, def was all Dev's fault.
Uhl has a lot of raw talent, but needs to get better control. Very quick first step.
He's gona be a beast as an upperclassman.
Most raw talent Iowas seen since Tyler Smith.
Ehh.. I don't see the Smith comparison. He averaged 15/5/3.5 as a freshman. Look at that line, and for a freshman in the B10, I even forgot just how good he was. I like Uhl but he isn't close to Tyler Smith.
