Wisconsin Will Lose Again

If Iowa wins out this is still a very good year. 10-2 is not a bad year. It is not mediocre. We will see what kind of team we have this Saturday.

Stanley was certainly a big part of the loss but he wasn't alone. He had help. The game shouldn't have come down to the interception.
you are forgetting the 30 other incompletions, including "the overthrow".

Overthrow was Stanley alone, no denying that, but the goal-line pick was a circus of F-ups:

Render snaps the ball before Stanley is ready

Almost nobody is set, most visibily the right side of the OL is standing up looking around, which should have been illegal procedure

Fant is looking at Easley trying to relay the play call, but Easley already knows and Fant gets left standing flat-footed rather than blocking his man

Stanley tries to hurry a playcall rather than getting a timeout and makes the correct read, but the throw is too high

Kirk is running onto the field late trying to get a timeout

One of the back judges SEES Kirk asking for a timeout, goes to blow the play dead, and then swallows his whistle

It's almost impressive how bad things truly went on that play.

I'm still real high on Nate, he's a top 10 QB in college football as it stands. Why would you bench that? He had a bad game. He's gonna have more bad games. Great QB's have bad games all the time. I get being upset, I was pretty upset on Saturday too....but I've watched college and NFL football since I was 5 years old and understand that losing, unfortunately is part of the game.
I’m pro-Stanley.

I do not think he’s a top10 QB in college football. He’s too inconsistent and erratic to be top10.

He will get drafted into the NFL. Sans leadership and accuracy he will be a backup for maybe a handful of seasons.

There's no doubt when all is said and done Nate gives us the best chance to win on Saturdays. What I would like to see is a wildcat formation for Peyton to get him into games if but for 3 or 4 times a game. Just a different look for the defenses and getting Peyton some game reps. Instead of bringing him out for one trick play. This would lessen the chance he transfers if he gets a little cheese once in a while.

Truly one of the most gutless bits of officiating I have ever seen.

Nice post Cornrich!

( If they win out ) 10-2, w/ zero quality wins. Thanks for that schedule GB & B1G!

Puff up your chest about beating ISU, Northwestern, and Purdue ( all w/ at least 3 or 4 losses )
Get to the title game then beat the East rep. then go Rosebowl and beat the Pac 10 rep. That would be 2 quality wins.

As for Stanley, just don't repeat two games in a row.

Yes and in addition to what BVHawk95 said. The first two drives. Iowa dominated Penn State. And they walked away with 2 field goals. LOE.
I think Stanley gets most of the blame, but there's enough mud left over to throw at the other offensive guys too.

I think in this case people are thinking win out because we probably should have won the two hardest games on our schedule.

While Iowa opened as a slight underdog at Purdue, sagarin and others have them as a favorite.

Sagarin's computer can't pick up a quarterback suddenly prone to bouncing p

No bad losses though. Someone always points out that we have a bad loss every year.

Well, there's still time for that on second thought, with the last two games on the sched.
