Baylor scored like 80 points a game until they played somebody that had a defense with a pulse. The pollsters ignored the fact that they gave up about 78 ppg over the same stretch.

Agree with you about Baylor...sometimes expectations at the outset of the season give teams the benefit of doubt, sometimes based on last year along with returning players. Watch next fall, regardless of how we look, we will be ranked very high before the season begins based on this year's team, assuming we get 2 more wins.
Getting back to Baylor and their plight, think about LSU and how far they have now fallen with 2 losses. It usually irons out. Lets see where Baylor falls to with another loss.

I think Wisconsin will beat NW and the talking heads will not move them like they did Okie and Okie State.

It's real simple folks...we aren't that much better than wisconsin..I watched the game. You did too. So before we trash on wisky...the difference between 5 and 25 is not that much apparantly...so if they aren't underrated...this is parity in spades!

Disagree completely. Iowa was playing on the road and still beat Wisky. For those who want to cry from Wisky that they were without Clemment, welp Daniels was hurting, it's starting WR was out, CJ was about 50% healthy at best that game, and was it Ike or Boone who missed that game?
If Iowa and Wisky played again both sides fully healthy, Iowa wins that game 7 times out of 10. The main reason is the QB position, we have CJ they have Stave, it ain't even close.

I respect your opinion...i'm glad you love the hawks...i watched the game.....so we can talk about players who didn't play in the game like clement for wisky and say what if? I'm saying I watched the game. I'm thrilled that we won and i repeat..we are not THAT much better than wisconsin...better...not THAT much better. Even saying 7 out of 10 is agreeing with me.

The score was 10-6....we scored 10 points...do you remember the havoc that D wreaked on us? I do....Beathard does...yes it was at wisky...so? Are you telling me how much better we are than minny? Indiana? Pittsburgh? We beat them but I don't know HOW much better you can say we are than them. We beat them is all that matters. But there isn't 20 spots in the polls better than wisky if you ask me. They should be higher...higher than nw for sure.

And I respect your opinion as well, yet I am not agreeing with you at all (this is ok, we all have different opinions). Winning 70% of the time vs 30% of the time is a HUGE gap.....about the difference between a top 5 team and a top 25 team really.

Problem is, you are only talking about one game instead of each team's full season. Iowa's resume (at this point) is a lot better than Wisconsin's.

Lets split some hairs here.
So Wisconsin wins 5 out of 10 AT HOME and you think that is even? I'd say on a neutral field Iowa wins 7 of 10.
You are looking at individual games in a vacuum. Yes, they were all close games, but they were ALL victories for Iowa. When you look at the cumulative season, Iowa is better.
Regarding Wisconsin versus NW, how can you say that Wisconsin should definitely be rated higher. NW has victories over Stanford, Duke, and PSU (and they stomped Minny). What are Wisconsin's quality wins?

I'm not arguing that wisky should be ranked higher than us or that they are better than us..I say if we play 11..iowa wins 6..how's that? If you watched the game there is no way you can proclaim dominance over them. There is zero evidence. Go hawks!

Read. I said IOWA is better. I simply said we aren't THAT much better. We won. Woo hoo. We are better. The margin isn't the chasm that some people think. Especially the ones who in game are like we suck...i knew it...same old iowa..we don't deserve to win this...predict we get beat...lol But you state that we are better but not that much better and they lose their minds. Not saying anyone on this thread has done that but be reasonable. We are better..but we aren't dominating anyone.

I watched the game, and I saw a team that was playing offense with it's left arm in essence. CJ was 50% at best, we were without Tevaun, without a tackle and without our starting RB. Give us a healthy team, give Wisconsin a healthy team and from what I saw with us still beating them in their crib and I don't see how we don't beat them 7 out of 10 on a neutral field. I don't see this as proclaiming dominance, I'm just saying Iowa is for sure a top 10/5 team where Wisconsin simply isn't. I have a feeling that Wisky is gonna drop one of it's last two games as well, but we will see.

still think it's much closer than you do. They have top 3 defense in the nation..a big ten mvp beast in the front 7 who had a huge impact on the game...and canzeri is a starter..come on...still leads us in rushing yds and has barely played in a month...i suppose this time we put up 34 on them? Again, you are making your judgment based on ONE GAME. I've watched every Iowa game and a few Wisconsin games and I think there is a bigger gap between the two teams than you do.
Look at it another way. Under your 1 game approach, would you argue that Vandy and Florida are about the same? After all, Florida only beat them 9-7. If they played 11 times, Vandy would win 6 times? Or go back to 2002. ISU beat Iowa, so in that one game ISU proved they were the better team that year?

I base that opinion on one game. Yes. You base your opinion on one game. You can tell me that you watch Wisky games, those aren't against Iowa. Who has Iowa beaten that you think Wisky couldn't? What I do know is that the front 7 of Wisconsin manhandled us at times. More than any other team. We found some success, sure. But i'm not buying that was Wisky's one time best game. They are #3 in the nation or top 5 in almost EVERY defensive category. Have you watched our defense the past 3 weeks? I'm saying that I think we are better but not "that much" better. You can accept parity can't you? Do we have to be a million times better to be better? Does the world series champion not still lose 60 games or so? My humble opinion based on one game and how we play and their strenghts to our weaknesses says that we are a little better than them. The score indicates the same thing.
