Is that the best the BIG has to offer? Good gracious will we have oh-for in the first round of the Dance?

All WI can do is butt people down under the basket with their bigs, who really aren't very talented, but are good at putting their shoulder into you while bulling to the basket. If WI was reffed the way they should be, they would have a lot of guys dairy queened every night out.

They may beat the Hawks his week, but sorry not impressed.

I'm going to agree. I watched Wisky and am not that impressed. Where Iowa is and where Wisconsin is are worlds apart. Wisconsin looks beaten and no interest. Perhaps there is a clubhouse issue. Seniors look tired and ready to end the season. Not very impressed with them at home or on the road.

Its a game to game thing. Shooting high % is certainly not assured game to game. Iowa shot well vs MD. That's great, hope it continues, but its not assured.

think about it.

Nigel Hayes...just wow. I think his freshman numbers were more a result of playing with Kaminski and Dekkar. He's still having a decent season, but he's not the beast everyone thought he would be.

It sucks that Wisconsin lost 2 in a row to Ohio State and Michigan State. They might drop out of the rankings this week even. Iowa needed another signature win.

IF Iowa can beat the Badgers this week, they could end up with wins against the top 3 teams in the big ten standings (Purdue, maryland, Wisconsin). That's not something that can be ignored by any committee.

It remains to be seen, but sometimes it takes a year or two before seeing the effects of losing a good coach. It has been over a year since Ryan retired. It will be interesting to see how Wisconsin does in the future.

Can't stand Hayes' game. He should be called for an offensive foul every time down the court.

i guess you guys watched MSU / WI on Sunday. I really can't believe they call that basketball. I know Pemsl and Cook will back you down too, but they actually try to go around you once they are in proximity to the basket. Happ and Hayes back you down until you are under the basket...and Hayes uses his off arm to shield you...it's ridiculous. Watch his off arm...it's an offensive foul every time down the floor.

I expect WI to try to punish us down low and kick out for threes. It will be interesting to see what Fran does defensively. You need to take the three away from Koenig, but maybe you take your chances with Showalter and the freshman. You just can't let Happ and Hayes live under the basket.

I am sure Wisconsin has made some Faustian deal to have success in football and basketball that eventually will end very poorly for them. Maybe this is the beginning of that end. It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of people.

You're right Wisconsin and Iowa are worlds apart. 22-7 vs 16-13. 18 straights NCAA tourneys, Final Fours, conference titles, etc. etc etc.

It speaks to the state of the program when while one program is 22-7 and it's fans are freaking out "what's wrong?" Vs another program that is 16-13 and the fan base is overjoyed.

It also only takes a couple of seconds to read what he was talking about "Wisconsin looks beaten and no interest. Perhaps there is a clubhouse issue. Seniors look tired and ready to end the season."

Who's overjoyed? I'd say most are dissappointed that 2 bad losses/1 bad call is the difference in dancing and not. Hopeful, yes, overjoyed, no.

Let's get this straight right now. Iowa and Wisconsin with Bo Ryan are worlds apart. We will see now that Ryan is gone.
