Which is exactly my point and it's even worse in the case of Bo Ryan in that that program has never really had down years where they missed the tourney (bowl game in Kirk's case), Bo Ryan has had guys picked in NBA draft and he still can't land Blue Chips.

Makes me think that no matter what happens Blue Chips only go to certain programs (Duke, kentucky, Indiana, Zona) or programs that run dirty (baylor, Uconn, ISU). The rest are just S.O.L.

Is that what iowa would have to look forward to if they ever got elite in terms of winning?

Bo's ability to always be in contention for the BIG title and success he has with his recruits tells me not to doubt his judgement.

Agreed. No, I don't think Wisconsin will be back in the Final Four next year, but I'm done predicting their demise. They're always tough.

Linesetter, Bo turns the Van Vliet's of the world into blue chippers...maybe I'm missing your point, but what I've seen in two videos is the kid can play and damn it, he's going to Wisconsin, and that's the way it is...yes Wisconsin could struggle this year, but knowing this kid is committed to play there makes me wish we had him...but, we have a ways to go before kids like this end up on our campus...Fran is on the right track, and in my opinion, that's why this year is very important for the Iowa team

Im saying if you can only land "projects" after having the NPOY on your roster, back-to-back Final Fours and 2 NBA Lottery picks then eventually you're never gonna sign elite talent and you must be a **** poor recruiter.
