Winning out

Its extremely realistic. Every defense we play is not very good. Our 3 BIG losses have come against teams miles ahead of everyone else.

Not sure why you say that. I'm worried about every game obviously because it is Iowa but Purdue is the worst team in the BIG. Michigan has not been impressive at all and got their **** rocked against MSU. Nebraska lost to the Gophers and are in trouble against Northwestern

Every game is winnable but every game is also losable. It's Iowa we're talking about. Nothing is guaranteed.

LOL! Yes because I'm sure the remaining opponents are terrified of Iowa. Purdue probably sees this game as their only win in Big Ten and given how Iowa annually loses a "WTF!" game every year under Ferentz I won't be shocked if that happens.

I know exactly why I'm saying that and have the knowledge to not post such fantasies. Give it a rest.. Sadly Iowa hasn't had the annual lay your egg game,so might as well cue Purdue in West Layfeyette. Ugh..

All I can say is Purdue could turn out to be a real battle for us. It could be the type of game that could come down to the wire. Iowa's offense the last 2 weeks, if that comes to Boilerland, Iowa can lose to Purdue. Plus, this is the type of game that Ferentz loses. We can point to a lot of games in the Ferentz Era where they need a win like this to go bowling (Western Michigan at home for example) and they pack it in or come up short. Iowa is a slight favorite in this game, but it is not a gimmee.

Michigan has playmakers and we don't. However, if we can get passed Purdue, it is at home, if, if, if, we come to play in all phases, we could have shot. Nonetheless, we are a dog here.

At Nebraska, even on a slide (losing to Minny and maybe the cats) still have our number, it is there, and they have a better offense all things considered. We have a chance if they are mentally down by then, but we need momentum going into this game beating Purdue and Michigan. Still a dog here at this point.

5-7 40% chance
6-6 45% chance
7-5 10% chance
8-4 5% chance

You could say the offense laid an egg today. Or perhaps vs MSU.

To the OP... He is correct. The Hawks have a chance to win out. Tis no fantasy, pally boy.

Yes have a shot in all three, a real good shot.

But I think winning one is possibly the most realistic. There is no O to be seen, man that was bad today.

unless we start scoring points (can say this about Ferentz teams ... going back to 1999) don't see that happening.

I should clarify, Iowa hasn't laid an egg against a team they have no business losing too. Hence cue Purdue.. I also have no problem when people dream big, pally boy. I just know the difference between real and fantasy. :)

All 4 losses have been to ranked teams, so here's hoping Michigan and Nub both stay out of the rankings.

False. NIU was not ranked when we played them. Pretty sure MSU wasn't either. The general trend is that teams become ranked only AFTER beating us.

No, not false. Dude, the point is that all of our losses are to teams that are currently ranked, as in 'top 25 teams in the country good'.

Rankings are meaningless the first few weeks since no one actually know how good anybody is, but now that our 4 losses are to teams with a combined total of 3 losses after 8 weeks of play, we know how good they are. The fact is that they've always pretty much been that good because they've won all but the 3 games amongst them.
