Winning on the road ?

Do these people realize it is a little tougher winning on the road for Tennessee, Iowa, Virginia, etc win the play in front of 15,000 opposing fans.

What do you think the crowds are like for Middle Tennessee's road games ? 2000, 3000 fans at most ?

It is a little tougher in a power conference, very unfair to lump all teams road games in the same category.

This was exactly my thought. To believe that winning road games is all that matters, completely ignores the fact that power conference teams usually face a much more hostile environment. That is why people talk about which arena is the hardest to play at.

No we didn't win as many road games, but it's never easy for any team to walk into Indiana, or Michigan State and win. A lot of teams found it difficult to play at Carver. If we play on the road at mostly 2000-5000 fan arenas, I think Iowa's road game wins have a good chance of going up too. Road game environments matter, and it seems ridiculous to act like the win on the road is the same no matter where you play.

If that's the case, then Iowa should play the same non conference schedule, just at their arena....doesn't make sense does it?

Either way, we made great progress this season; and I fully expect with the returning players and the addition of our next class, we have a good chance of grabbing a bid without being on the bubble. Grabbing the NIT title would be a good start.
