1) 8 wins, whIle still somewhat dissappointing, just feels miles better than 7.

2) 8 wins and about #4 or #5 in the B1G gives us likely a decent, albeit not great, bowl position.

3) A win to finish the regular season leaves a lot better feeling/possibly even optimism going into a bowl game.

4) Maybe the most important, I keep something over delusional nebby fans.

Play like the second half this week, minus the giving up every 3rd down! And win this game !!!

Finish strong, and give the Seniors a good sendoff!!!

I think Nebby is swooning, I think the hawks could play a great game if the coaches open it up on offense.

I think the hawks should win this game. Stop the run like against Wisky on most plays, play great overall defense and special teams, and dont be afraid to throw the ball and mix it up.

That's Cyclone-like thinking. I'm obviously bummed that Iowa lost to Wisconsin but I'm still very motivated for this upcoming game. If Iowa plays with the effort and mindset of their 2nd half vs Wisconsin, then Iowa's chances are pretty good. Nebraska is spiraling down with injuries and with Bo being Bo. So I'm not worried about a Red takeover.

Agree, our guys need to not just beat Neb, but lay wood in doing so. Big Red is just plain bad against the run, and even our mediocre run game should produce some. And Abdullah is no Gordon. He may get his but he aint gonna be a threat to bust one each and every play like Gordo.
