Really? With the 7 blocks and the way they were able to execute three point plays, I thought it was obvious they were good. They have four seniors in their lineup. They just made too many turnovers and probably didn’t excel enough on mismatches after screen switches.Hard to tell how good ole miss is
Nearly all 7 of Iowa's shots which were blocked were going to be dunks. In the first 5 games those were gimmes. Add 14 pts to Iowa's final total of 74 and you get darn close to Iowa's season average of around 90 pts/game.
Pretty sure I saw one against Folgueiras where he ended up on the ground where he took a forearm in the face..... I thought the foul calling was a bit uneven, at least in the first half.Hate to be that guy but a few of those blocks got a lot of the wrist and should have been fouls.
Yeah they let alot go with the body too. On one of Banks dunk attempts they hit him in the side simultaneously pretty hard to knock him to the floor. I guess if you get ball at all up top anything else goes. It was a physical game. Just sucks when they make calls inconsistently and call ticky tack touch fouls on one side but let so much go on the other.Hate to be that guy but a few of those blocks got a lot of the wrist and should have been fouls.
Safe to say Stirtz is as advertised. It's wild watching cause I find myself saying why don't they just run everything through him every single possession? He's so patient yet unstoppable. The only play he messed up bad on was at the end on that offensive foul and thankfully it didn't matter. Besides that dude was in total control after that slow start.
Koch was awesome. Dude was getting offensive boards like it was his job. Drawing that foul at the end was so huge cause of the missed 1 and 1 before that. He kinda had to cause Manyau got in foul trouble and didn't play a lot. If Kochs play is a sign of things to come he's going to be a phenomenal player. He pretty much already is
