Iowa can still be a good team next year without Atwood, no doubt. They ought to be even better with him, though, which is what I want to see.
Maybe more importantly, it's nice to see Fran seal the deal on highly sought after recruits.
I mentioned a few times this past season that one of the "holes" in Iowa's offense was that fact that the Melsahn (playing the 4) didn't take enough 15 ft jumpers. He took some and shot a good %. But, that shot was consistantly open in Iowa's offense and White didn't even consider taking it when he was at the 4. That is the shot that keeps the lane open, moreso, than the 3-ball, in my opinion. Atwood seems to be a player that would definetly take and make this shot, consistantly. That would be huge for Iowa.
