Willie Atwood signs -- when?

I would love to see a "highlight video" in which it showed countless misses or guys constantly getting beat to show off their form and footwork. I can see it now "despite the fact that he just got the ball swatted 8 rows deep did you see the point at which he released the ball" or "both ankles got completely broken, but this guy has amazing defensive footwork". It there's one out there, I want it.

Never seen a highlight real showing a guy shooting an airball, choking on a dunk, or dribbling off a foot either.

Saw a video he posted on instagram...walks into his hotel at ASU and a stripper is on the stage...then goes to his hotel room and the door across the hall has three chicks at the door. I'm guessing ASU is putting on some charm ha.

That's a fun recruiting strategy. I should have taken an official to ASU back in the day. I suppose I would've needed an offer from them first.

I'm not certain if this is good or bad news. The fact that 3 players are leaving ASU could reveal a serious coaching problem, or it could look to Willie that he will start immediately. To me it is a bad sign for the program.....

Arizona State loses three players in a single day

AP Arizona State has six incoming recruits for the 2014-15 season, a large recruiting class which underscores that the Pac-12 squad would probably have some turnover during the offseason, but it is debatable whether coach Herb Sendek thought the scholarships would free up on the same day. Richie Edwards will head to New Zealand to play professionally (Edwards had exhausted his eligibility), Bo Barnes announced he would transfer Friday morning, and Calaen Robinson will also leave the Pac-12 program after his inaugural season.
Other than those three Sun Devils, Sendek will also be without Jahii Carson, Jordan Bachynski, Jermaine Marshall, and potentially Shaquielle McKissic — the team is reportedly going to petition for an extra year for the wing.
There will be a plethora of fresh faces greeting Sendek and the coaching staff during fall practices, and the coaches are clearly not finished recruiting. Arizona State is one of a handful of teams competing to land Bryce Dejean-Jones as well as Willie Atwood, a juco big who is being pursued by squads who need frontcourt depth.

Here is the one comment:
fnc111 - Apr 5, 2014 at 12:39 PM Sendek won’t be the ASU coach next year at this time.

Come to Iowa, Willie, where Fran treats his players like family.....

If he goes to Arizona State it doesn't look like he will be in the NCAA tournament at the end of the year. I would think that would be a big deal to a player, but he will do whatever he thinks will be in his best interest.

Indeed, and one of the players departing is the number one scoring point guard, freshman, Jahil Carson, who averaged: 18.6 PPG, 4.0 RPG, and 4.6 APG.....

Certainly hope Willie and his Mom can overlook the sleazy attempts to land Willie with Babes and Strippers, at FSU and ASU, I do believe we will be in the Dance again with a better seed next season. Fran is a proven Miracle Worker, and has done very well in one of the toughest conferences in the nation his last two seasons. He is finally coaching Big Time and is getting the job done quite nicely. Despite the end of the season fall, next year is going to be entirely different. The main difference I would like to see is the ability to hold a lead at the end of a game, that comes with the experience we should have had last season.....

I also think the preseason and early season predictions were a bit overinflated and the media over reaction calling us a Final Four team put too much pressure on the team, and we couldn't stop the descent.....

We actually played very well against two of the Elite Eight and a Final Four team. Losing by 8 points at Michigan in a game we played very poorly, and then beat them by 18 points at Carver. We lost to Wisconsin by 4 in IC, and by 5 at Madison.....

Remember that the Hawks are not the only team to fall in the first round, Duke lost to Mercer, and I really don't want to mention Number Two ISU falling to Hampton. A lot of the Big Dogs fall in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and when all is said and done, they are in the same category, among the 32/36 or so who go home after the first game.....

I'd be willing to bet that mom is probably willing to overlook the strippers.

This could be done with one phone call. Willie's mom to Melsahn's mom. I remember reading Basabe's mom's trust in Fran helped ease her worries with him moving so far from home.

If it comes down to Iowa, FSU, and ASU, and Mr. Atwood wants to make a difference, I really don't see any choice but Iowa.

ASU is in the same boat Iowa was a few years ago: Losing their top players and having to rebuild. With only 2 years of eligibility left, I really don't see him making that choice.

FSU is in the same boat Iowa was in last year: an average team in their conference. They made the NIT last year and finished right where Iowa did.

If he wants to make a difference, then he needs to come to Iowa.

Just my 2¢ .. .. ..

GO HAWKS!!!

In Atwood's defense, he needs to wait awhile in order to give the ASU strippers the proper respect they deserve. I mean seriously who commits elsewhere shortly after a school throws you a stripper/coed party. Any one with integrity would wait a few weeks before respectfully choosing another school.

His Mama raised him well....

If he chooses a school just because they provided him with strippers I'm not sure we would want him anyway. Doesn't say much about his character.

I'm sure though that he and his mom have more character than that.

Link and pics or it didn't happen.

I think Atwood has no clue what the heck he is doing.

I say good riddance, enjoy sucking at FSU.

and, gfy....

If he does amaze me and actually pick Iowa, I apologize for this harsh post.

He gone tho.

I'm surprised anyone wants to come here with "fans" like you!

Sorry, just don't have time for people who don't know what's best for them that make stupid decisions.

Like i said, good riddance.

BTW, speaking with someone very close to the situation, he will announce FSU on monday, possibly tuesday.

So if he doesn't pick iowa, that means he doesn't know what's best for them? You're a tool.
