I'm sure DOCB will do well and have a lot of fun on this message board.

The gambling stuff does make me a little nervous, but what do I know. Not that much.

What I dont want is people talking about where they are laying their money down and stuff like that.

What I dont mind is casual conversation about lines that vegas puts out on games, because I think that is entertaining...and we will have some fun with lines here as well.

I dont gamble on college athletics, or anything else for that matter. But if you know a lot about something like that, I dont see it being any different than buying and selling stocks.
 
Yes, that makes sense. No problem there.

I believe CBS publishes the "Harmon Forecast" every week, predicting the outcome of all games and the margin of victory. It is very entertaining, because you can compare the Harmon Forecast predictions against the Vegas spread.

Jon, it would be fun to get your picks every week on the top 25 games or so (including all Big Ten games). Perhaps you and Mr. Deace could do it in the same post. It would be required reading for Hawkeye Nation customers, I think.

By the way, what is your prediction for Iowa v. E. Illinois?
 
I'm just trying to get as much glory out of this team as possible... If that includes a little gambling, then so be it :)
 
The Incident of 2009 wiped out all the work I had created in the "For Fun Wagers" section of the site last fall. That was fun while it lasted...:(
