A little reality for you. Oklahoma State will be a 6-6 team by season's end. West Virginia will not be in the top 25 by year end. Both were paper tigers.

Lol you nailed it. Those two teams were vastly overrated. Grier, himself, has to be the most overrated player I've seen all year! How the phack do you get sacked multiple times when you are a mile outside the tackle box and have 5 mins to throw the ball away?!? I mean Stanley has done some dumb shit and I've hammered him for it, but Grier was absolutely terrible yesterday. And it had little to do with the Clowns. It's hard to remember a year where WV, Okie Lite and Texas weren't overrated.

It's pretty easy to get a high ranking when you don't play anyone good and have everyone above you get beat.

West Virginia is a top 25 team but #6 was a joke. ISU just had their number on Saturday
ISU had a 1-3 start so they were kind of forgotten in the landscape. Now they have some steam, a QB that has added a running threat, and a healthy Montgomery. They will be favored in every game the rest of the way besides at Texas. That's mind boggling if you know anything about ISU's football tradition (or lack of).
ISU had an extremely tough front end of the schedule (as Sagarin points out the hardest schedule to date). Having to basically start your season @iowa and home to OU is no picnic.
Iowa fans have said for years they don't like to play ISU because it doesn't do much for them or their resume even if they win. Hoping if Campbell can keep pushing the bar and having more success that it'll make for more of a fun rivlary between two teams that are consistent winners.

That's it right there. It's not that WV or OK St are all that great it's that they were over ranked to start with... The preseason rankings are such a crap shoot. Sure a blind man could put Bama at #1 but for the most part it's a waste of time to try ranking teams in the preseason. They should almost let the games play out for 4 or 5 weeks till teams have played anyone to start ranking them. Happens every year where 2 or 3 teams are rated way too high or low.. To be that wrong means they just never should have been looked at the way they were to begin with
