This Michigan State team is not very good yet. But Izzo's teams always get better as the year progresses. I'm glad we're getting them early and I'm glad they are coming off a 20 point home win. I'm expecting a win against Michigan State compared to the majority of the time when I'm hoping for a win.

That is exactly what happens. I give the refs credit for last year. They continued calling fouls longer then they normally do. They still gave up though. I can't wait for the illegal screens and touch fouls on our end to even out the absolute maulings being called on the other end.

I think we all know that Izzo is going to do his thing and he does it well. If we can shoot decent (say about 45%) we can win if we play a full game of defense. Short of them not playing well, it's going to be a tough game.

You nailed it. Assuming the Hawks can shoot effectively, we better hope the officials don't stop calling fouls that should be called.

Line opened Iowa -2, looks like it has moved to Iowa -4.

It will be interesting to me to how we do against their physical man to man defense. We've proven we can beat a zone (OSU). But have yet to score consistently against man.
