I voted Yes. I have no idea why. At some point losing streaks have to end?

Same here. I have no real evidence/reasons to back that up other than the last time we played an ACC team in a bowl it went pretty well.

I was at that game. Good time, but cold as hell.

For whatever reason I'd much rather have Iowa play an ACC school than any other power 5 conference. At least Boston College won't have better athletes at every single position like Florida and Stanford did.

I think we'll be able to bottle up their offense pretty well. Their original starter at QB, a runner, is out, replaced by a senior who the stats indicate is more of a pocket guy. Their passing game is very weak, and somewhat turnover prone, with a 15:10 TD:INT ratio. That should allow us to focus on their stud RB. Jim Reid ought to have some tricks up his sleeve for his old team, but I just don't think BC has da horses to run with us.

The odds are in favor of Iowa...BC is a nice draw, albeit to a slum bowl...beatable.

Plus, with a long run of do nothing bowl results, Kirk is due.

I would not place money on Iowa...bipolar preparations and results.

If Iowa gets dusted...well, where do you go next?

I got burned by this last year. Florida’s offense was so bad I thought Iowa could “do what they do” and win a close game late. Yet got beat by one of the 150 reject Purdue transfer quarterbacks.
It doesn't help when the offense turns the ball over 3 times, twice in their own territory and once for a TD, and fails to come away with points on their best two drives of the game. I won't try to argue that the game was close, but the defense was not the issue, outside of 2-3 plays.

However, this year, while not great by any means, the passing game at least exists for Iowa (against teams not named Wisconsin), and BC's rushing defense isn't that good, so I think they'll at least be able keep the defense off the field, unlike last year.
