Do not tell this to Cyclone fans! I've had several co-workers who are big Cyclone fans say after their win yesterday they should be in top 10 and even 1 said they should be #1 because they beat a team that was in the national championship game last year.

Iowa is the first team receiving votes who aren't ranked in the AP poll (basically we're 26th.) Iowa State at 21. I'd say there's a pretty good shot we go to the Bahamas ranked, as long as we don't lose to Penn.
 
I actually could see ISU losing at BYU and Iowa moving up into the rankings in their spot next week after Iowa beats Penn. Other than that I dont see a lot of possible losses for fringe Top 25 teams.

Plus, I have no issue with the cyclones being a top 10 team. Rankings don't matter and they're one of the few who have beat a top 10 team.
 
Iowa has a better shot being ranked in the coaches poll this week. Notre Dame, Virginia and Indiana all might slide down and Iowa could slide in at 24 or 25.

Do not doubt someone who worked in the business for many years. Start beating quality teams instead of cupcakes and you'll have a better chance of being ranked.

Well I was half wrong. So I guess I should be mildly happy instead of quite happy. Good showing in the Battle for Atlantis and they should be solidly in.
 
The fact we're even discussing being ranked is refreshing, considering the 7 year hiatus.

Agreed, the AP voters must know that Fran has lost his fire, that's why they didn't vote us in. Do NOT doubt someone who has worked in this business (??) for many years!!
