I thought it interesting Schott played left guard. What that tells me is that the coaches believe that the best interior lineman are Britt, Lindy, and Schott. Britt seems set at RG, but Schott can swing. I agree with that, and like the size there. Richman seems to be the guy at LT, for better or worse. I think Colby will eventually be the guy at RT. That is where I predict things are headed, but because of youth and injuries, that line is not quite ready to solidify. Let's hope we get there soon, because throwing shit against the wall and hoping it sticks may not work against PSU.
I think Leistikow wrote that Connor Colby played about 2x as many snaps as Bitt did at right guard last week. I think they got similar number of possessions, but the Colby-drives were long ones, and the Britt-drives were shorter. Do with that info what you will.

Shooter will lead to a more competent run game. He has always been a plus run blocker and a scratch pass blocker - in my opinion.
I think his return might be more noticeable for the defense - meaning I think the offense might have a better shot at grinding down the clock at the end of a game when Iowa is leading.
But, he is still probably a week or 3 away from his top game speed.

I just came on here to say this. He and Britt can both be described as this. I rewatch every game mid-week and watch the lines play (and LB's). Colby is really good, but still doesn't have a solid foundation, so he gets moved easier than others. That's an easy fix in the offseason. He's gonna be special.
Not really on topic, but I've been rewatching games since 1994, and Linderbaum is the best OL I've seen. Unbelievable what he does. Would like someone to show me someone better in CFB.

Linderbaum is an animal. Run more QB sneaks or rive to Pottenbaum running right behind Linderbaum!!!!! Baum them to death with double Baums!!

My thought is the coaches may want Schott on the left, so everything to the inside of Richman is nailed down. Anything to make RIchman's job a little easier.
