Will Fant's last game as a Hawk be the Nebraska Game?

I'll be the first to admit, I heard the immature comments 3rd hand (a friend of mine is in regular contact with Iowa assistants). I don't claim to know the situation personally but I heard enough of the the same things to make me believe it.

But basically I've heard the coaches like him, he's a nice kid, but he's like a little kid. He doesn't want to prepare and take things seriously. And judging from when I've seen of him playing live when I've seen other players telling him where to line up after the huddle breaks and on TV when he is consistently making mental errors. He reminds me of when I would watch Willies. The big difference is, Willies bolted. Mainly because Kirk can't handle talented playmakers with egos. His own ego is too big.

Lets be real here now. Fant has all world talent. It wasn't developed at Iowa. He came in looking like an All American. Iowa was running jet sweeps to him as a true freshman.

So how was Iowa, one of the poorest recruiting staffs in the country able to land him? Why did he not have offers from every major school? Something is fishy here and I think we're seeing it. Iowa took a gamble on a very talented kid who has issues. And because Kirk can't handle those types of players, we're seeing it blow up in his face.

Maybe you should go by what Fan't is saying not 3rd/4th 900th hand crap...yeah i seem him frustrated but he has a CB that is SCARED SILLY to throw the ball down field to him, he has been wide open SEVERAL times and moron CB looks at him then drops off the 2 yard loser throw!

I bet he blows up against Illinois. They are downright awful on defense. Hard to say that Fant will skip the bowl game. He does a good job hiding if he's really pissed off about the situation. Don't think he's the type that would turn his back on the team and sit out a bowl game but who knows.

Something happened to where Kirk isn't playing him.
