Several times during the game I did think they were a better team than us. Stronger, more physical, more athletic. Not saying we couldn't beat them if we played well.

We shouldn't have lost to them, but we are a young team with a lot of guys still getting their college feet wet. We only made 4 two point FGs and only lost by 12. This team will shoot better than that.

Why do you keep saying they will shoot better? The jump shooting was fine. Problem was the ball got stuck up their skirts every time they went up inside because Wichita state was stronger and more athletic. And that's the truth.
Iowa lost so it's a loss. I don't think anyone said it was a bad loss. It's not like they lost to GW or Campbell at home which would be a bad loss.

No, we should not have lost to them. Now we have to beat ISU, UNI and get an extra upset in BoneG season to be even slightly considered for the tournament.
It's going to be real hard for this Iowa team to get the 14 B10 wins needed to be on the NCAA tournament bubble this year.

It wasn't that we lost. It was how we lost. 4-31 from inside the arc? Not good. Loss much worse than appears without good 3pt shooting which will come and go.

While this was not a bad loss it was a missed opportunity to get a win against a potential top 50 team in the non conference. With as weak as the non conference schedule is Iowa needs to make the most of every top 50/100 opponent they play. I am not sure Virginia Tech will be a top 100 team or UNI, Iowa State may be the only other team in the top 100 that Iowa plays in the non conference.
This team is young but these are teams that they have to start beating to get to the next level.
