Why you want Mich to win.

After this weekend Michigan will play Iowa, @Penn St, Wisconsin, and @Ohio State. The likely hood that they come out of there with only one loss is unlikely. They have no Def.

Michigan State on the other hand has @Iowa, and @ Penn State. The have a much easier road. without a doubt.

So If Michigan State beats Mich and Iowa and gets a Loss @ Penn State they would be a one loss team. If we then run the table and beat Ohio State we would not go to the Rose Bowl.

In short I think Michigan has a very tough road ahead of them while Mich State has a much much easier road, but it really wont matter if Iowa takes care of business and runs the table!!

I pulling for Michigan for two reasons. #1 gives our game next Sat more hype. #2 MSU has an easier road to B10 champ.

I agree. Problem is that I don't think that Michigan has a chance. They have no defense and they are up against one of the best QBs in the conference. And MSU is another trip game for Iowa. They are a solid contender.

But a Michigan win would put Iowa on a collision course with them next week in Ann Arbor. It would be great for Iowa to take them down!
 


I agree. I want to see Michigan win. but I do want to see the Michigan State defense take a toll on Denard Robinson in that game. Just soften him up a bit for our defense next week.
 


I hate to say it, but if Michigan beats MSU, then that is showing that they can really play and our likelihood of winning this game has just diminished significantly,.
 




MICH is not this unbeatable monster, they have not been winning games by 25 points or blowing people out. They force you to get into an offensive shoot out with them by betting that you cant stop them on D.

MSU rolls today.

Michigan will probably beat Wisconsin. They will destroy Penn State.

I will be shocked if Michigan rolls MSU today. I think MSU wins a tight game.
 




Is MSU wins today and then beat us, they will go undefeated. Yeah, I know but their schedule sets up nicely after us.

Also, Illinois doesn't play us or Wisconsin and their defense is MUCH improved. They play the 3 worst Big Ten teams + PSU right now looking like 4th. They have only one conference loss. They could run the table from here on out and go 10-2/9-3 with one more loss and 7-1/6-2 in conference. That could send them to a better bowl than us!!!

Can you imagine conference standings like this???:
MSU 12-0 / 8-0
OSU 12-0 / 8-0
Illinois 9-3 / 6-2
Michigan 9-3 / 5-3
Iowa 8-4 / 5-3

And throw in NW (who misses Michigan and OSU) somewhere up there too!!! This is why I'm glad we will have a conference championship game next year.

Michigan St will NOT go undefeated. They don't have the offense to do it, nor the defense. This is a very similar Mich St. team as last year.

Michigan would be playing for a legitimate chance at a big 10 title if they win this week. I don't like having so much riding on a game away from Kinnick.
