Just heard on the BTN Final drive that in the last 7 years jNW is 4-3 against Wisky while Wisky is 28-3 against the rest of the West. Wow, hard to imagine that Iowa is 1-6 in that time against Wisky and Iowa may have a losing record against jNW in the last 7 but I think since 2013 Iowa is 4-3 against jNW.
Does jNW just have the confidence and grit of their coach? They have gone with QBs who can run which has always given them like a 12th man on the field as they have really good players but probably not a load of 4 and 5 * players. I have never tried to dissect their defense but most of the time they are by the ball, cover the run gaps well, and stay close to receivers.
