Why no offers for Alex Carr?

I realize he is undersized at 5'9 and 162 lbs, but he seems like a really good prospect. He has one of the lowest Rivals VERIFIED 40 times at 4.44. Even if he doesn't end up playing corner, I still think he could be a great punt/kick returner. Iowa State has taken a number of undersized players in their class this year with some being DB's. That could mean they're full so now room for Carr. Or you can say they might offer him because they like the undersized type of recruits. I realize it's rivals again, but he's ranked as the 3rd best player from Iowa, he's a 5.6 rating without quality offers, and he's tearing it up this year. I saw on TOS Ferentz wrote him a letter. I'm not an insider, so I don't know what it said, but my guess is it says if you keep performing like you are, you're going to get an offer. I could see him as maybe an alternative if Byrd goes to SC (yes they play different positions, but both are speedsters). What do you all think, are we going to offer or should we offer? My vote is we should offer him, and I hope we get him.

I agree with you. From what I've heard he is damn good. I think Iowa will eventually offer just a matter of time.

They may offer. Especially since its starting to sound like Miller's offer was pulled.

I haven't seen anything about this, and I'm sure people would've been all over this since he's a big time recruit and supposedly an Iowa lean. He was just at the Penn State game, why would Iowa bring him on an official if they pulled his offer?

Per TOS on facebook someone had stated he should come to iowa and he replied, "Cant Anymore."
Plus there are two long threads in both premium sites.

hmm, well I'm sure the staff had a good reason. Sometimes I wish I had paid for those sites. Well actually, I just wish someone would bring it up on here ;)

I agree 100% on offering Carr. Living in CR, this year we've gotten to see some really good fb players. Carr is the best among them. I will say, he may not be a legit 5'9.

He'll end up being an Ellis Hobbs. Undersized, but tough, fast, and versitile.
The funniest thing about watching a lot of MVC games this year is that the two biggest recruits (French and Rodgers) are not even close to being the best players in the league. In fact, neither should qualify for even honorable mention all-conference at their respected positions.

I go to school down the road from Carr and have witnessed him play 4 times now..

To me he is THE fastest high school player Ive seen in any sport
I feel Iowa will offer him when the time comes however he mostly plays Running Back at Wash, which he excels at, however he is undersized there. Personally I feel the kid could be a good add as a corner at Iowa...
Hopefully an offer comes soon

Havent gotten a chance to watch French yet :(
