Why no more expansion talk

Ah, yes. Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen. Soon your pitiful NCAA will be crushed, replaced by a new and improved BCS with paid athletes. And we will bring peace to the college football galaxy!

I'm sure the NCAA, the NFL, and Congress will gladly allow that to happen.

Ridiculous.

I love how people say ND sucks and can't keep up with a Big Ten schedule; then go on to say that the Big Ten should stop scheduling ND because they won't join.

NCAA works FOR the universities, not the other way around as you and most people believe.
NFL could care less, this won't be a direct competition with their product.
Congress doesn't care what athletic depts do. In fact they likely will support a move, because these programs likely forgive their tax exempt status, thereby allowing them to collect tax dollars.

Geesh, this may have been the worst sarcasm of all time, not to mention the worst argument. Bring your A game or don't come at all.

I'm not trying to argue or convince anyone. I personally don't care who believes what.
It doesn't take a lot of forethought, or "insider" knowledge to figure this out.
Delany has told all of us exactly what is going to happen every step of the way.

Does anyone really believe that Jim Delany stood up and delivered a message to the media and the world that he is in favor of "full cost" scholarships without knowing the outcome of this? Without knowing he has the support of his members?

Anyone really believe that Jack Swarbrick openly tells the media that a separate divison of college athletics is "inevitable" without knowing that is the case?

C'mon folks. These people are outright telling you what's coming.

There may indeed be expansion in the B1G's future, but it will not be initiated by the B1G. IMO the B1G is done expanding unless the SEC or Pac 12 make a move. There are still rumors of aTm's unhappiness with Bevo's financial cut and influence in the Big XII-2. If they were to make a move to the SEC, I think it would trigger a chain reaction of conference expansion that would resemble college football's version of the cold war arms race, eventually leading to 16 team "super conferences". I also believe that the B1G has a contingency plan in place in the event that the dominoes begin to fall. But for now as long as other conferences stay pat I believe the B1G will be content with the addition of Nebraska and not seek other members.

Because Deace and I have been off the air for 10 months ;)
I do miss listening to you guys talk about all the what if's, it was fun thinking about all of the possibilities. Thats unless you were an ISU fan they had this look on there face for several months .
