Why don't we get daily practice updates?

I see on some other schools forums they get notes from area beat writers who go to practice everyday telling what is happening. Do the guys at the gazette and Press-Citizen have access to every practice? I know historically Kirk runs a tight ship during practice known as "fort Kinnick" but does that mean fans just can't go in or that no one can?

I thought HawkeyeGameFilm said he was going to be at practices and give a report. But he might be only doing a final report after the April 27th final practice.

it's spring ball, we are going to look like crap anyway. I'm more concerned once fall camp opens. That's when I will want to watch the practices.

Iowa doesn't allow media at day-to-day practices in the Spring or the Fall. You have to get special permission to visit on any non "open" practices.

It's an ingenious marketing ploy to build anticipation and positive speculation. Just look how it worked last year. I can't speak for everyone but would guess most people were shocked at what they saw during the season vs what they expected to see, based on the little they heard leading up to it.

Why doesnt KF spend four hours a day on this site getting input so he knows what we want him to do ?

It would be great if he just spent two hours a day reviewing various game scenarios so he knows what HE wants to do when faced with it on Saturday. Simply reviewing film from numerous games over the past several seasons would provide just about every crucial situation that could have been handled differently / or avoided althogher.

if there aren't changes after last year, i'm giving up on KF completely. not that there has to be radical changes, but the short passing game has got to stop unless we actually have a WR who can catch and break a tackle. if we could get even a little less predicable with the formations that would help too.

Is the kids table low on mashed potatoes?

We had plenty of changes last year, new coaches, new offense, and it produced a big steaming pile of dog crap. I don't suspect more changes, I suspect the plan is to perform within new schemes. Which... For me is another fresh pile because I hate the scheme (drone year one of derpster Davis).

the changes were a complete f-up though. short passing game mixed with zone running game? you could very often tell what the play was by the formation. Iowa has long been predictable, but that was way too easy for the other team.

My opinion is that the scheme sucks and the performance was even more sucker, dog crap suck. Ill give derp another year but I'm not that hopeful that this new scheme is a good fit for Iowa football. Do we really want to be northwestern offensively? I don't.

Whatever wins games on offense.
