no other big ten schools protect their coach with sub-par seasons as well as we do... why is that?
Why do the donors love the Ferentz family so much?

He's won more B10 titles than any other Iowa coach, he's got the only undefeated regular season in Iowa history, he runs a clean program, and he teaches boys to be men. He does it with class too. He's also committed to the University of Iowa, University of Iowa Hospital, and the community. Things could be a lot worse...we could be using boat rowing metaphors for every challenge we face.

We've had a total of two coaches in the last 40 years so the most big ten titles is not that impressive and he's coached longer than all of the coaches before him.
CJ beathard was undefeated that season. Kirk didn't want to start CJ. Also got smoked in the rose bowl in embarrassing fashion
We had a bunch of kids get busted for coke and weed. Coker was kicked off the team for you know what.
It's easy to donate a little money when you're getting paid 5 million per year and your son is getting 600k

Wrong, he has won 2 02 & 04.. Hayden won 3 Big 10 titles, 81, 85 & 90.

Seriously...he put a two year starter on the block to play CJ. Give him credit. 18 &19 year olds will do some stupid stuff...at least we aren't hiding it like MSU. Are you saying he doesn't run a clean program?
Donating money...i'll go out on a limb and say he's more generous than the other D1 coaches. He's pretty revered in these parts for his generosity and passion for helping children.

You are correct sir. I was counting the Divisional Championship in 2015. I also forgot that Forest Evashevski had three titles also. My bad.

Yeah, after I posted it dawned on me that you were probably counting the division title. I for one have grown tired of Kirk, he's been here long enough, and the past two years have sucked. I just don't see next year being any different. I am tired of his boring & conservative brand of football. I'm tired of this having one good season and then suffer through 3-4 average/below average seasons under Kirk. It's gotten so old. I'm actually debating about not going to games next year. Kirk is notorious for pulling one big upset each season, and we're suppose to act like one big victory over like an Ohio St or Michigan should be enough for us fans to be happy.

Agree except I will go to some games. I just cant see why they have so much trouble moving, being efficient, and scoring more in most games. They know the 8 man fronts are going to be there against the offense so dont be so boring, find some pass plays and spread the receivers out to make the other team play, attack outside and beyond the 8 man front where they only have 3 defenders,
I saw several offensive explosions last year but then there are the headscratchers which makes is boring to see the constant 3 and outs and lack of making third down conversions.
Wrong again overall on the undefeated seasons as Howard Jones' teams were 7-0 back in both 1921-22 and Jones won 2 titles in only about 8 years of coaching at Iowa before going to USC where he made the trojans a top team. Just imagine if Jones stays at Iowa until the mid to late 1930s and maintains that level of success.

It's the KF Plan. I can tell you right now, that the Wisconsin game is the one that's already circled on next season's calendar. They'll game plan and practice all summer and fall, to beat Wisconsin. That will be the best game we play all year. We'll then go out to Penn St and get our brakes beaten off.
My suspicion is Nebby due to the terrible grammar.

I'd save your money. Don't go. In fact, go to an Iowa State game. And when your wife is having a bad day leave her. Kids spill milk, beat them. Enjoy your life of perfection. Quit crying. Don't go to the games. No one is giving you a trophy for being too cool to watch a team you don't have to watch. You don't have to be a fan. Quit crying. This is America. Pick a new team. I suggest Wisconsin. Or, oh wait, Alabama or Clemson. Pick a good one this time. Good luck with your new team.

I'm sorry for your loss. My point being, why not cheer more? How many seasons do you get to cheer the Hawks in life? Enjoy each and every season. We have a lot of reasons to be thankful.
