Why do Bowl Packages Cost so Much?

Can you verify that? (serious question)

If so, I'll recant my previous rant on Univ tix for this bowl. That would be huge.

However, my experience when going to three Outbacks and the Cap-1, the Univ tix were bogus. People who went to the Orange bowl got crammed into the upper deck in an endzone.

I bought the first year through the Univ, then went on the open market after that, paid a bit more, but had a lot better seats.

Barta confirmed Iowa has tickets from goal line to goal line for this bowl game.

Exactly what I was trying to say, $350 is a FAR CRY from under $100. You certainly can't get that deal anymore, that was the CHEAPEST it was going to be, and it now $400 plus fees to do it. Plus you are flying into a city that is 5 hours away from your final destination. To each their own Mason, and I'm not trying to knock you....but to me that doesn't seem like a deal at all. Not to sound like okeefe4prez, but my time is worth money, and spending 9-10 hours getting to my destination isn't worth it to me.....

Hey for me, saving over $1300 is a great deal only down thing is the drive but I would still sacrifice the drive and staying in Vegas over being in PHoenix the whole trip and spending a little more. I have 2 kids and a trip to Dominican in the spring to save for so it was either this or stay home and watch it on tv. Plus I am there for 3 nights and not 2 like the charter is.

I am going with my dad so the drive will be fun anyway and I would rather spend 2 days in Vegas then be in Tempe anyway

My final destination is Vegas, just making the drive down for the game!! Anyone want to paypal me some money and I can get some action in for you before the game.

Different stokes for different folks. I haven't taken Jon's charter at all, I have always booked my own way. Yet each has it's place. Those who knock the charter do it because it doesn't make sense for them, as flying to Vegas and driving to Phoenix doesn't make sense to me, but works for you!

True, I would love to do the Charter, wasn't knocking it. Just to pricey for me at this point.

Dean, did you find anything good out of DM? I tried so that was my first choice but when the wife has you on a budget the only way I could get there was thru Vegas.

Fwiw, Hotwire is about $1,000 per person leaving des moines on the 26th and coming back back the 30th. That includes flight, hotel, taxes and fees. didnt see how many nights the charter is on town. Phoenix is way spread out, I went to the Insight last year and it can take an hour just to get to the other side of town if you ned to.
