whose better?

My early sense is white magic. He seems to have far better rapport with his players and the fans. Wins are group efforts while losses largely fall on the coaches, which is the way it should be, at least publicly.

Ask again in about three years.

I like the recruits white magic is bringing in much better than the ones the hair brought in. But yeah, ask this again in 3 years.

This one isn't even close.

alford had amazing rapport with the players and the fans. He would go out of his way to make Iowa know that he loved Iowa. He also could coach up his players and would never let a large lead get away from his team. His teams would always over achieve. If it wasn't for all of the transfers, that guy would still be at Iowa and we would probably have at least 1 or 2 more NCAA tournament appearances to our resume.

He is now lighting the world on fire at a major college program and we can only sit back and wish we had his expertise, suave nature and boyish good looks sitting on our sidelines cheering on our team with the highest praise for all.
