Who’s Going To Pay For Peacock vs Indiana?

$3K per seat? Man, I don't think I could bring myself to spend $875 a game for two people when you only ever get 4-5 Big Ten games plus ISU every other year. Yikes.
I understand your position.

Hawks are my hobby. I gave up the motorcycle life and golf awhile ago. I've never owned a boat.

At my age (67 in 10 days) I'm 100% over sitting on hard benches, getting kicked in the back, suffering in the weather, smelling a stinky diaper, walking two miles from a parking lot, etc.

I worked hard for 42 years and want to enjoy my main hobby in a bit of style. In fact, my plan is to attend every Hawk game next year, home and away. I'll be going to the B1G champ game again this year in a club area.

As a business owner nowadays (canine boarding and a multi-state landlord) I can write off the expenses. I also treat others to my 2nd seat, so we make it an outing.

After my mom passed last November, it quickly became evident that life is short...so enjoy it. And I am!

This is ridiculous. From article:

It is possible. Hawk Central reports that the only other Iowa football game with a set start time and TV channel is the Nebraska game on November 28th. That game will kick off at 11 am and will be televised by CBS. That means any of Iowa's next six games could get moved to Peacock.

It's money they know we'll all pay, it's gonna keep being more and more. I'll be at the Indiana game but the others I'll go sit in one of our local bars and drink one Diet Coke per half.

I'm not in any way saying it's dumb. Not at all. It just wouldn't be for me.

I'm buying a Road King next spring and along with that will come new, really loud exhaust, my girlfriend needs a helmet and riding gear, getting a Bluetooth comms system so we can talk/listen to music without wires, and a tour pack. All of those things are totally stupid to some people but it'll be probably 4 years worth of your season tickets. It's all what you get enjoyment out of.

Duke, throw me that rate if you can. Maybe there is a sign up a friend option?

There are no deals available that I can find

The best deal is the $10 a month which would cover the Indiana game and any other Hawk
game on Peacock the rest of the month

They opt for one more month to get any Football games that may be on Peacock, they
don't have a TV schedule available

The Nebraska Thanksgiving game will be on CBS

After the first month is over, wait until the next game that is going to be on Peacock to
sign up for one more month

For basketball season wait to see which games will be on Peacock then sign up monthly

It is always very easy to cancel the membership, each month can be done instantly before
the next payment is due

Also, you said you got out of motorcycles a while back, have you seen the Bluetooth comms they have now? It's wild. The system we're getting into works through your phone but it has connectivity to up to 16 helmets on one base unit. You can set up groups within the app and separate them all and switch back and forth. So say you were in a group of 8 couples, you can set up a group where only the wives/gf's are talking/hearing each other, if you want to talk to just your own passenger for a sec you can switch it hands-free, you can play different music all per user, can cut yourself out of a group to take or make a phone call...it's awesome. Once you buy the main unit it's only like $175 per extra helmet for the mic/speakers which are mounted with velcro under the pads.

I rode for 40 years. My last ride was a GL1800, 2003. Sweet bike. And yes, those Bluetooth comms are amazing.

I'll hate to admit this, but if I do get back into cycling, it'll be a trike

Yah, no. Sorry. Good game to listen on the radio network. Or...maybe I'll find something else to do that day because I don't think it's gonna be pretty.

Absolutely

It's All Good

Thanks for the info Duke. I have kids soccer games so need to check what the schedule looks like that day. Does anyone know if you can record games on the Cock? I recall this being tricky when I tried before. If you can't watch live, does it have any option for later?
