Whoops, Kinnick?

Rain in the forecast for the N. Illinois game. We have had a lot of rain here in E Iowa over the past month

I wonder if they screwed up the drainage somehow.
It looks to be flowing through the field level entry in the right center of the picture.

Humidity and dew points have been off the charts since Saturday. High school cross country meets have had heat related issues. It's probably contributed to this rain, as well as southeast of LaCrosse last night and the Madison area last week. Humid conditions are expected Saturday, but more of the seasonal variety.

That looks bad. Probably a good thing it happened today and not during the Northern Illinois game.
yeah, especially since the tornado sirens went off in Iowa City during this and there was lightning & thunder. That would have been a mess with all the fans.

Got to be water from the stands coupled with an alteration in the drainage during the N. End Zone project. These things are easily fixed. That was also a substantial storm that you cannot replicate with testing. Good thing to expose it now.

I think people made this a bigger story than it should have been. According to the guy on twitter who posted the pictures, the field went from flooded to not flooded in about an hour. Sounds like Kinnick took on a flash flood and drained it out in an hour as expected. I'm sure Kinnick will do the same thing to the Cyclones.

At least thats the way I read it.
