I would be shocked if it wasn't Rudock. It will be KF's giant middle finger to the fans and we will all go insane over why he didn't get a snap last year.

Sources close to the program have confirmed Davis and Ferentz whipped out the old etch-a-sketch over the winter and have come up with a new super-mega offense that doesn't use a quarterback but instead installs a package containing 4 punters on the field at once.

No matter who gets the job, I must say that my enthusiam for this football season is probably the lowest it has been for 15 years. I guess we truly have become a basketball school.

I think you speak for a lot of us, but one thing to consider is that there have been times throughout history where the players of a team have out played their coaches' ability. Think I've mentioned this before, but one such example is the Harvard 68 team. I would bet many of you saw that documentary on ESPN. It's called "Harvard beats Yale 29-29". During the documentary many of the players talked about how absolutely horrible their coach was. He was so bad that the captain of the team essentially became the coach on the field on day one. The result was they went undefeated that season.

No, I don't think the hawks will go undefeated or will even be good this season. But you will have some very good experienced players coming back with some new blood. You never know. LOL.............right now I'm speaking from my heart and not my head. Probably cause I still can't really believe how horrible 12 really was.

I think Ruddock coming out of spring ball but I have a hunch that Sokol will be the man in 2013 and do a nice job for most of the season as the starter. I think we go with him for 2 years and then have 2 years with Beathard and both do a great job.

My guess is Kirk Ferentz will declare at the end of spring ball that all of the quarterbacks looked really good and we have to go into fall camp with all three quarterbacks in a dead heat. We probably won't know until a week before the first game who the starter will be. You know the drill. During spring practice all three quarterbacks looked good in different areas and for now it's just to close to call.

Rudock, but I want the QB who has the best ability to scramble. Not a run first type guy, but a guy that can scramble to buy time and an run it for a first down if need be.

From what I've heard, Beathard comes the closest to that?

I want a QB who can find a secondary receiver. We have not had that since Drew Tate, sadly.
