Who will be happy with 10-2

I'll take 10-2 right now. Nothing less than that. Would be slightly disappointed, but would be happy that Iowa has double digit wins going into a bowl game.
 
I would be happy with 10-2.

But in all honesty given where we are at this point in the season, it would be a bit of a let down.

If you asked me in August would I take 10-2, I would have jumped all over it with glee!

Now that I've tasted greatness from this team I really hope they can make it all the way. But would not in the least see 10-2 as anything less than solid.
 
Are you kidding? Iowa drops out of the Top 20 with a loss? Are they going to get beat by 60?

Dude we are #6 and an underdog against a three loss team. We dropped from #22 to #37 after the UNI game. We won that game. The voters hate this team. Frankly I will be surprised if we are even in the top 25 if we lose.

Listen, man.. these aren't the New England Patriots. They're a fairly unimpressive team with two dinged up QBs, a marginal at best running game and a good not great defense that tends to fade. IF, we lose--and it's a big if, we won't drop out of the top 25, let alone the top 20. Ohio State lost to a Purdue team that's 2-5 and they're still in the top 20. IF, we lose, I'd expect us to end up around #15.

Also, I do hope you know that spreads are based on betting action and not how bookmakers think the game will actually turn out.
 
It's to late to be okay with 10-2. I'd take 10-2 every year but not now. That means we finish 3-2 when Iowa typically finishes strong. So not finishing strong would be disappointing and why agree to be disappointed without letting the games play out. We have a remarkable defense who can keep us in any game. OSU is more vulnerable then they have been in a long time, so I want to take them out while we can.

Why do so many people think it's a given that we lose? This Iowa team has already played a night game in a hostile environment this season. Plus, most of the major contributors on this team played at MSU last year so they should feel more comfortable playing there.

MSU is a fine team, but they haven't played a defense like Iowa's yet. I'm nervous about the game but we have more than a fair shot at winning.

The only issue is if Iowa does lose Prbly. drop out of top 20. There is a large number of Teams that are going to be 7-1.

IF they lose today. They would drop out of the Top 10. No worse.
 
I'd take 10 - 2. I predicted preseason we'd go 8 - 4, so I'd be quite happy with 10 - 2. Obviously I would no longer be happy with going 8 - 4. To only beat Minnesota would be a major meltdown. I also don't think that it is crazy to predict a 2 - 3 finish. It could certainly happy. It's not likely but, certainly possible.
 
10-2 would feel like going home from the bar with a 7. Fun but disappointing knowing you had a shot at a 10.

Based on what? The point spread did the same thing last week.

I dont think it would be a meltdown. This happens all the time in sports. you win a few you did not expect early and at the end of the season you end up giving a few back. This is why there needs to be a 32 team playoff in CFB.
