Who will be happy with 10-2

I know I definatly would. I think it is a given we lose today. Too much against us this week. Looking at the point spread and what is being said, some people know something we dont. I also dont think we win at OSU plus we know Iowa teams in the past have lost home games they should win. with all of that in play I would definatly sign on for 10-2 and the Capital one bowl right now. Who is with me? Who would be disappointed with 10-2?
 
Me and I think a lot of others would not sigh up for that. A year like this needs to be taken advantage of!
 
In my preseason Hawkeye football magazine, I picked 10-2...and I picked Iowa to be 7-0 right now and inside the Top Ten.

So I would not be unhappy if they went 10-2. If we ever get to where we are unhappy with 10 wins, given that just six Iowa teams have ever hit 10 wins in school history, that will be the day we turn into Nebraska fans. And I don't want to see that.
 
I am not saying that I would take 10-2 and put it in the bank now though...I would let it ride. I would probably consider putting 11-1 and a trip to the Rose Bowl in the bank right now, however.
 
I would be thrilled with 10-2. I agree we lose today and OSU. I also think we have a good shot at losing to Indiana next week, since it is a textbook "trap" game.

I'm thinking the Hawks will end up 9-3, but 10-2 is possible. Don't see them finishing any better than that. I know.....I'm being a pessimist...but I've been disappointed WAY too many times in the past by the Hawks. I refuse to get my hopes up.

Iowa is going to a bowl game for sure, and that is all I really hope for every year....so the season is already a success in my book.

Horrible attitude. 9-3? Seriously? After going 7-0 if we go 2-3 the rest of the way that would be a meltdown of epic proportions.

Wow that's about as pessimistic as you can get 83!!!

I'm with ya though. Heartbroken too many times. Still, I don't see us losing twice this year. I really don't.

I dont think it would be a meltdown. This happens all the time in sports. you win a few you did not expect early and at the end of the season you end up giving a few back. This is why there needs to be a 32 team playoff in CFB.

I'm just trying to be realistic. It is a very good possibility the Hawks lose to both MSU and OSU. The other games? Indiana is playing VERY well right now, and it is a trap game for the Hawks. Northwestern? We only have to look at the last several years. Minnesota? We seem to have their number.
 
Now, you're playing for 12-0. 11-1 would be the worst I'd want to see us end up.

If someone would have said 10-2 at the beginning of the year, then fine, but it's too late for that now.
 
I agree.. it's just a given we lose today. I don't know why we'd bother coming out of the locker room. Just forfeit, head home with what little pride we still have left and keep everybody healthy..
 
WTF, what's with the negative nancy thread today?! You guys have no confidence in this team and have been listening to the national pundits too much. This team will not be intimidated on the road, for another night game. I could see us getting off to a slow start again, but really like how we match up against MSU. I will not settle for anything right now, let 'em play the games and see if we can keep this thing rollin'! This is too fun of a ride!
 
Take a zoloft there Debbie Downer. I think MSU is getting way too much credit from ESPN and everybody else. They have had a soft schedule and I think we put it all together tonight. I wll be happy w/ 10-2 but not totally satisfied.
 
Wow! I think a bunch of people are playing a little prevent defense with their psyches. They are not allowing their hearts to go with the flow here in anticipation of the great pain that it would cause if/when we lose. I know because I have been there myself. 7-0 and #7 still seems a little unreal and you are preparing for the crash back to reality. They will "very likely" lose both remaining road games??? Are you kiding??? They very well could lose them, but wins at ISU, PSU, and Wisconsin have to foretell at LEAST a 50/50 chance!

We're 7-0 and have won the last 11 in a row. The past has no bearing on what will happen in the future, but hell yes I will be disappointed if we go 3-2 from here on out! Next summer I could look back and be very, very proud and satisfied with a 10-2 regular season, but right now, when 12-0 is not a pipe dream? When we are ranked in the top ten? When OSU has been looking very vulnerable? When Rose Bowls and BCS games and national championships are being bandied about?

7-0, #7, 11 in a row and the sniff of roses has made me a bit greedy. Nothing ventured is nothing gained. You risk a lot of pain when you let your heart run free, but the potential rewards can be so much greater. This is a dream season so far, and Damn it! I am going to keep dreaming and suck the marrow out of the bones of this season!

The only issue is if Iowa does lose Prbly. drop out of top 20. There is a large number of Teams that are going to be 7-1.
