Who will be 5th

I had Brommer penciled into the starting lineup, with Cole at the 4. He'll need to contribute.

I don't disagree with you, Brommer does play hard, when he has played. I do think it is unfair to pass judgement on him yet, I have in the past and I will no more for this reason:
What player improved in the Lickliter era? Maybe Fuller, maybe Kelly...I just don't know what to make of the last three years with all the distractions off the court and the instability in the program, I have taken a differnt approach now that we have moved oIn to Coach fran. One think I know, is that the team will be well coached and the different style of play will make an impact on the players.
I am giving Brommer a pass on his career for now, if he doesn't do anything in the next two seasons then he was just a player that didn't work out. The other thing is, how can you get comfortable in a role when your role is never really defined. Don't play in one game, play three minutes, don't play the next three and then be expected to ply close to 20 minutes and be a big contributor...doesn't work that way.
Brommer is raw and it looks like he needs to be broken down and rebuilt, I was one that was on the bandwagon to have him redshirt, if there was any way he could this year, I would still be all for it, but it isn't going to happen.

Gatens, May, Cole, Cully, Basabe start, with Brommer, Cartwright, Marble and McCabe get significant minutes. Archie will not be scholly player next year.

Fran will run, pressure and compete. You will see 10-12 players, way more than Lick ball.

May, Marble and Basabe are the athletes and Fram will use them. Cole will foul out of most games, Brommer gets plenty of time.

Tighter games hurt walk on minutes this year.

What 10-12 players are we going to see?
Don't understand the "Tighter games hurt walk on minutes this year." either.
If Archie isn't on scholarship, does Iowa have 10 players that can play, not including walk-ons? Archie would be the 10th, unless my Southern Iowa math is incorrect.

I don't about your math. I think I named 9, and there probably could be more that get some time. Regarding Archie, I said next year. Walk ons typically play in blowouts and I don't see Iowa in that many of those, either way.

Thats an opinnion and comments, not something you want to invest in.

The only way Iowa has more than 10 play is if the walk-ons play. Iowa has 10 scholarship players, including Archie. When you say next year, it is this coming season to me, since that is the next season.
Iowa's walk-ons are going to play, they are going to get solid looks because Coach Fran says they will and thinks they have solid skill. They are not the typical walk-ons and that is just my opinion.

I always go by the understanding that "this" means the current year and "next" means the following year. The issue that you run into with the off-season is when does this year become last year? Oh yeah, and who's on first.

There is no "this" year due to there not being a season right now and "next" season is "this" season then.
What's on 2nd:)
