Anyone want to take a stab at the opening line? I could see it being a pick em, or Nebraska by 1.

This actually worries me. I hate being that guy but I thought the officiating heavily favored Illinois yesterday and I sure hope it's not the same crew working the game on Friday. I sure hope the Big Ten isn't helping Nebraska as it is extra money for the conference if Nebraska is bowl eligible.

First of all, it isnt just nebraska chasing that sixth win. Michigan State can become bowl eligible with a win over a Maryland team who yesterday did a pretty good impersonation of the Illinois team that we beat 63-0.
But you bring up a good point. Illlnois, especially in the secondary, started the game physical but within the rules. Like a pitcher who gets the outside corner and then tries to expand the strike zone, Illinois players gradually pushed the envelop a little further with each successive series. By the second half ISM got tackled well out of bounds twice, once into the kickers practice net and once into his own bench, and no flags were thrown.
The non call on Tracy on the fade route was more PI than what Hankins did and Hankins got the flag.
Another subtle problem I noticed since Wisconsin, and it's probably bad luck as much as anything else, is umpires getting in the way of both our tight ends trying to run seam routes and linebackers trying to pursue ballcarriers. What are these players expected to do, place mannequins or rodeo barrels on the practice field where the umpires are supposed to be?
