Who starts at the 5?

Brommer, Archie, Olaseni, or someone else?

Brommer is the most experienced and polished of the bunch. Personally, I just thought he seemed to settle in very nicely into that backup role last season. I am kind of thinking maybe I don't mess with that.

Is it possible a defensive minded rebounder emerge in the form of Archie or Olaseni to take hold of a starting spot?

Am I crazy or is it indeed Brommer in a runaway?....or even that I am completely blanking on someone. I mean neither White nor McCabe would start at the 5 would they?

Anyway, thoughts?

Brommer will start to begin the season. Maybe Olaseni can steal that spot by mid season, but I doubt itll happen from the get go. Archie is going to play Brommers role from last year. When Basabe is resting you might see Brommer and Olaseni.

That makes sense. Similar to Marble. It would be nice to see that sort of improvement from an Olaseni throughout the season. It would be nice to see him develop into a difference maker on the defensive end blocking and altering shots.

Olaseni, Fran showed he wasn't scared to start a raw, athletic freshman in Basabe last year. The difference this year is that Olaseni would have a proven player next to him from day one. It would be nice to see that athletic front from Iowa and the rebounding and shot blocking abilities that would be on the floor.

I think it will be Andrew to start with Basabe. Once AB gets a foul...bring in Looby. I can see a constant rotation with AB, Looby and Gabe with neither getting 25 mpg.

Looby? Is he on the Jess Settles eligibility plan??:D

I'm assuming you mean Archie.

I'd guess Brommer, but I don't think Fran is afraid to put his best players on the floor, regardless of position. I wouldn't be surprised to see line-ups with Cartwright, Marble, Gatens, Hubbard and Basabe. As White develops, I also think we'll see a lot of line-ups with Basabe and White holding down the front court. Fran always says the best defense is a good offense, and White and Basabe are likely the only two front court players on the roster with offensive skills.

If Brommer can play with-in himself, stay on the floor,He will be a good big man next year.I think he's just finding his game before its to late, lost a couple of years toLick ball.I really hope he figures it out this year and takes a leadership role(if he does he'll be a fan fav.)
