I voted Basabe. I am actually a McCabe fan, I love his energy, but it may be better suited coming off the bench. At least until he can consistantly knock down open 3's

McCabe is 40% from three this year and is second only to Clemmons in 3PT%. McCabe was 45% last year. I'd say he's been pretty consistent.

Incidentally I voted for Basabe, but it's basically dead even in my mind. I'd like to see them continue to sub for each other and end up with equal minutes. Basabe blocks shots and McCabe takes charges. Basabe has some low post moves and McCabe has a good three-point shot. They're pretty much interchangeable.

I think he is 80% within 5 ft.


as in, 80% of his shots get blocked.

It isn't just about shooting percentage with McCabe though, he attempts just under 3 threes a game, so he isn't really a threat, despite shooting a good percentage.

Hard to justify starting a defensive liability because he makes about one three-point basket per game.

McCabe doesn't have the shotblocking ability or lateral quickness that Basabe has, but McCabe does have a knack for drawing charges. I doubt anyone on the team has drawn half as many charges as McCabe has.

My thoughts exactly, McCabe seems like the more viable option as a bench spark.

whoever Frans says is the starter, is good enough for me, he seems to know what he is doing, after taking Iowa to the NIT in year 2 after back to back 20 loss seasons and landing a top 25 class,
