Who picked the start time for the game?

How many kids 14 and under especially on the east coast are going to stay up to see the end of this game? I find it too bad that they don't cater start times more to trying to get kids into being fans of sports more so then just going after the people who will be influenced by the big sponsors. I understand it just don't like it.

Yeah, lets taylor start time to 12 year old kids on the east coast instead of millions of actual consumers on the west coast. If you can't say up til 11 one day a year then it sucks to be you.

I bet population wise there are more people in the eastern time zone then western. If "actual customers" can't dvr the start of the game on the west coast then they are too cheap to be customers for the demo they are aiming for anyway probably. 2 hours earlier would mean the world to kids. It really shouldn't make a big difference to the pocket books of the corporate sponsors.

It would make a very big difference to sponsors. If kids want to see the game they will stay up for it. It's one ******* night. It's easier to ask the east cost to stay up an hour past their bed time then ask the west coast to skip out of work an hour early.

2 hours? 6 central, 4 Pacific? Not going to happen on week day.

I definitely don't like it, anymore than I like the World Series being played as late as it is. But I know it won't change.

Scorpio just had to go to bed early because its so late on the East coast. CBS is missing out on a lot of viewership with this late start time

Could be, but CBS has this down to a fine science....and have no doubt....they're maximizing their profits.

I wonder how the viewership changes as the games goes. I think they seem to cater to having the most eyes on it at the start of the game more so then the end. What matters most to you as a fan. If you had to pick witch half you'd rather see and what time would the most amount of eyes be able to do that. It's not just kids that can't watch it on east coast after midnight it's also alot of the early risers that can't stay up that late. This yr it just so happened both teams were eastern time zone teams. How many people in Oregon and Washington gave a darn about that game? Now obviously they schedule all these aways out and can't change it depending on who makes it to the game in the time frame needed there. I just think that if they start that game at 6-730 eastern instead of 930 eastern so the game ends about 9 eastern there would be more eyes on the end of the game. I care about the ending of the game more then the begining. I say the left coast can miss the first ten mins to the first half so everyone can see the ending of it and the everyone wins

i say be fair to both coasts and give everyone the option to watch the entire game. i say the right coast can lose about an hour of sleep so everyone has the chance to watch all of it.

Losing an hour or 2 of sleep is just as much not an option for alot of kids and working people on a work day as left coast people being able to leave work early. Hows that "fair" Remember kids on the left coast that are out of school by 3-330 out there could still be able to watch it. Just the working stiffs would be alittle late to the start. Yet everyone could see the ending. I think that with more people on the east coast that's where they would cater to. I doubt they'll ever look at it that way at all because they could give a rip less about kids that aren't consumers for the commercials. I'll be surprised if they ever try anything like that. But I'd like to see how it'd work
