Who is your First Pick in the PTL?

If you were a coach awarded the first pick in the PTL this year, who would you draft? You have UNI's roster, Iowa's roster, including incoming recruits, some JUCOs, some post grads, and a few high schoolers to choose from?

If Gatens is back, I would probably go with him.
 
Where's Brody Boyd? Saw him put up 50 there once. He was fun to watch in that league. That was a long time ago though haha.
 
Not to hijack the thread but another question is what incoming recruit would you pick first? I'm going to say Williams. I have a feeling about that guy.
 
Clemmons did cross my mind as well because of how well he's done in the past. Uthoff is the obvious first choice. If I was going to go with an incoming recruit I'd probably go with Dale Jones.
 
I'd go with Woodbury. I think he will have a break out year. Uthoff would be a good choice, but he is going to miss some of the games.
 
I wouldn't pick Uthoff only because I believe he got picked to play on some all star team this summer, so he will miss most of the PTL.

I think Dale Jones would be an interesting pick. Tall guy who can shoot. Who does UNI have left off last year's top 15 team? They will likely have a couple of first round PTL draft picks.
 
I wouldn't take Woody... Big guys are at the mercy of the guards getting them the ball and there are a lot of possessions in that league where there aren't more then 2 passes before a shot gets thrown up. He should get a ton of rebounds though as shooting percentages aren't that great either. I'll be shocked if JU isn't the first one... If MG could shoot that's who I'd take cause he'll have the ball in his hands a ton.

That makes sense. Hopefully, Woodbury will have a great senior year.
 
If it has to be a Hawk player then definitely Uthoff. Otherwise, the obvious choice for first overall pick is Wyatt Lohaus with Jeremy Morgan running a very close second.
 
It is a toss up between Uthoff & Clemmons, given how AC has dominated in the PTL. Probably go with Clemmons, as JU will probably miss a lot of the season...

Top pick for newbie is Jones.

Nothing against Mike Gesell, Sapp, Woody or Peter Jok. I'd love to coach any of those guys.

But, having a 6'10" guy with handles, great stroke, savvy and decent athleticism is
impossible to overlook. J Uthoff is the Iowa Hawkeye version of Kevin Durant
