The correct answer is ..........we shall see. Toughest person to replace, biggest shoes to fill, is the whomever we lost that we'll have the hardest time replacing with someone of quality which takes into account injuries (which we haven't had yet), and depth. I honestly think that we have so much depth at oline losing vandervelde is not a loss at all. I think JVB is gonna be outstanding and I think the third string guy, whose name is escaping me right now is pretty decent as well. So barring an injury at QB i think we'll get quality play there and we're a running team anyway. I think the dline has plenty of talent on it and a bunch of guys coming back that have played significant downs. I think Hunter was hurt most of this year and was replaced a lot by dibona and others so we have tons of guys coming back there in the lb core after last year.
I think we have no idea how good are punter is going to be after losing donahue. I also think that we're not replacing sash or greenwood, we're replacing sash and greenwood. This might be over stating it a tad but the importance of the team of safeties in college football is huge. The fact that neither will be there to mentor the others replacement is monsterous. I think the biggest loss will be felt in the combo of safeties because how each of their reads effects the others responsibilities is huge. So i suppose by the transitive property of equality I would say the hugest loss is Tyler Sash because we were expecting to lose greenwood through graduation, Sash leaving early for the NFL means were replacing the entire back line of defense.
